The quilters provide opportunities for fellowship and education in the art of quilt making. Projects have included making little quilts for the under 5 age group at St. Lawrence Place, making quilts for newly baptized babies and children at St. Michael and All Angels’, lap quilts for homebound parish members and/or parish members living in assisted living facilities and making quilts for the Wounded Warriors division of the VA Medical Center. Through quilting we are learning a time-honored skill through the grace of God.

The Quilters of St. Michael’s presented a three-part wall-hanging that can now be seen in Sturtevant Hall. The hangings were blessed at the 10:30am service on September 22. The Quilters Group first conceived of this idea over two year ago, and have been gathering regularly to work on the three hangings. Stop by Sturtevant Hall and see them! You will be amazed at the detail and skill that is exemplified by these hangings. The hangings will remain in Sturtevant Hall as an enhancement to our newly-decorated parish hall. Thank you, Quilter’s Group for your gift to the parish!
