Boys Home of Virginia Update
I just wanted to remind everyone that a group from Boys Home will be here November 12-14 camping at Sesqui with some SMAA folks. All are welcome to be a part of this, but for everyone who does not like camping, Campfire and story time for everyone will be available one of the evenings. They will be with us Sunday morning for worship and plans are being made to provide them with lunch before they head back home. If you would like to join us, or if you have any ideas on how to make this a fun time for our guests, please let me or Fr. Charles know.
Yesterday I found out that the main living area in Brown Cottage is without a TV. As we are a sponsor for this cottage, I would love for SMAA to bless them with a new TV. The entertainment center holds a 48 inch TV, and after some checking, I estimate it to cost around $400 to 500. I am asking for donations for this. You can make your check out to SMAA, with a notation that is it for the boys home TV. What a wonderful way to thank God for all the many blessings we have received individually and as a congregation. I would like to have this ready to go back with the folks that are coming in November.
Thank-you for your prayers and donations for Brown Cottage.
