The Music Ministry at St. Michael and All Angels’ is a welcoming and vibrant part of our church.  With two choirs providing music at our worship services, there is variety within the music at our church, and a place for everyone.  We are a singing congregation, open to many different types of music, and many of our members have participated in one of our choirs over the years.

Cecilia’s Singers: A truly unique church choir, Cecilia’s Singers are comprised of both singers and instrumentalists that prepare a variety of music selections for each service, with a special focus on folk hymns and spirituals. Musicians can expect to prepare hymns in a setting involving a mix of both instrumentalists and singers, reminiscent of the West Gallery days of rural Anglican Churches. This unique approach to music making allows us to blend a variety of different styles that make up the beautiful tapestry of worship music and simultaneously bring out the best in each musician in the group. The commitment involves a brief rehearsal before the beginning of Worship on Sunday morning at 9:00 AM.

Remiel’s Ringers Bell Choir: A small group of enthusiastic ringers, the bell choir brings a special sparkle to worship when they perform each Sunday.  Made up of both veteran ringers and newbies alike, the bell choir is a wonderful place to feel part of a group where every person (and every bell) is needed! Our bell choir typically rings at about 2 services each month during the program year. Rehearsals happen on Tuesday nights at 5.

All of our choirs are thrilled to welcome new members—no expertise or experience required!  Come and help us sing/play/ring God’s praises!
